Marion Miller Jewellery
About this vendor
Marion Miller’s passion for the Orkney Islands is long established and provides much inspiration for her work. The natural environment of the islands and elements provide inspiration for the shapes and forms of all her pieces. Having lived near the coast most of her life, Marion’s jewellery reflects her passion for the ever-changing nature of the sea, shore and natural world. Originally from the west coast of Sweden, she trained as a jeweller at Sir John Cass Faculty of Arts in London, graduating in 1996. It was then she started making wave rings, now one of her flagship designs. Her jewellery is designed and created by Marion herself and handmade in her workshop on the Island of Stronsay, overlooking the North Sea and the Sound of Auskerry. Marion works mostly in sterling silver and vitreous enamel in vibrant colours. Many of the pieces are also set with semi-precious gemstones. She uses several traditional enamelling techniques including champlevé and cloisonné. Her range of jewellery consists of highly wearable pieces which are finished to a high standard. From the maker to the wearer, they tell their own story.
Customer Reviews
My wife has a real thing for cowries so I... (well she chose them for the weans to gift to her...) got her these cowrie earrings for Christmas and she loves them! (I'll be back for more when she inevitably loses one...see you just prior to mother's day...)
Beautifully made and swift delivery - I've just ordered her the seaweed pendant for her birthday next week, I expect there may be some happy tears when she unwraps it 🙂
