A pendant that packs a punch, this pretty ‘one of a kind’ wire wrap necklace showcases the amazing gemstone labradorite. Known by the native Innuit peoples of Labrador Canada (where it was first discovered) as ‘fire stone’ you can certainly see why it has become associated with the shimmering blues, golds and greens of the Aurora Borealis. I gave this beautiful natural gemstone a wire wrap ‘hug’ and finished the necklace with an 18 inch silver plated chain. Labradorite is an emotionally uplifting gemstone, reminding us to be thankful for the things we have and to find joy in the little things – like looking up and the night sky and maybe even seeing those Northern Lights. Hi there, my name is Michelle Seviour— the creative force behind Indigo Berry. The beautiful Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands has been my home since 1990. My island home overlooks the Loch Harport, with the Cuillins in the distance, so I am literally surrounded by inspiration—from the landscape, history and the culture of Skye. I design and create one of a kind jewellery using a range of materials including silver, gemstones and vintage buttons. A creative idea might start with a glance out of the window at the changing colours in the loch, or perhaps draw on a memory of a Pre-Raphaelite painting from my love of Art.
